PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical repeater with which a good heat radiating state is assured. SOLUTION: This optical repeater includes a flexible pipe 1 which is formed to a wave shape in the longitudinal section and into which electronic parts having an exothermic property are inserted and a sheath clad plate 2 which is formed by netting fine metallic wires and which encloses the outer periphery of the peak parts 1a of the waveform of the flexible pipe 1. A wire 5 consisting of a material having good thermal conductivity is wound along the valley parts of the wave shape of the flexible pipe 1 and a packing material 6 consisting of a material having good thermal conductivity is packed among the flexible pipe 1, the wires 5 and the sheath clad plate 2.
