PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To receive a retrial message by confirmation or affirmative response of a message. SOLUTION: In a LAN interconnection, inter-2-point optical fiber links 111 to 119 linking interface modules 121 to 129 connect all nodes in a ring. Each link sends data in a structure of signal frames in combination of digital audio/ video signals, CD-ROM data and control messages. For example, a control and display unit 101 generates continuously a frame structure at a frame sample speed of 20 to 5kHz. The interface circuit does not discriminate whether or not re-transmission of the reception message extracted from a reception buffer is required to process the reception message in a 2nd station and then the 2nd station processes the same message twice. However, the entire load of the network is relieved by the simple revision of the interface circuit and a high level communication protocol allows ease of reception message processing twice in the 2nd station.
