Boiling water nuclear reactor fuel element with flow rate measurement

A nuclear fuel element with a large number of fuel rods and at least one water tube, held together in a bundle. Each of the fuel rods and water tubes have end-stops, by which they are connected to the lower grid plate of the fuel element. The end-stop (26) of a water tube (22) is hollow and has a bore of different diameters (40, 42, 38) in order to both measure and regulate the coolant flow rate.
