Heat control during arc welding

The heat generated during arc welding with consumable electrodes is controlled by reigniting the arc after the liq. drop short circuit phase (KSE) and allowing the arc to burn for a certain time (tLB) which is sufficient to form the next liq. drop. The arc is then extinguished and maintained in this state for a time (tAUS) until the next liq. drop causes a short circuit (KSA). The short circuit phase allows the liq. drop to pass into the molten weld bath.
