Compact spectacle lens grinding equipment

The lens grinding equipment has a compact housing (1) enclosing the grinding position. The lens block is held inside the housing by grips (3) in the optic axis, and is transferred between the grinding position and the outside by grips (6) on the rear of the access flap (5) of the housing. This enables the operator easily to load and unload the glass blocks and lenses. The transfer grips comprise suction grips or pairs of finger grips, with the latter gripping the glass on diametrically opposite sides and with adjustable grips. The edge grips can be pairs of roller supports. The transfer system is also suited for automatic handling.
