Mounting system for cables and conduits of motor vehicle

A mounting system for the cables/conduits of a motor vehicle comprises a moulded plastic connection box (20) provided with inwards-facing guide slots (not shown) on an external face which enable it to slide over the stem (15) of a standard, previously patented, clamping bracket (10) as fitted to chassis/bodywork sections during vehicle assembly. Between the guide slots an integrally moulded flexible arrester mechanism (33) allows the box (20) to slide smoothly past the two upper fixing slots (17) but on reaching the large aperture (18) the mechanism's action permits an arrester nib (35) to spring into the lowest slot (17) giving secure retention of the box (20) released eg. by screwdriver blade insertion when necessary.
