The developer station has a number of successive developer chambers (E1), separated from one another via partition walls (ZW). Each chamber has emptying openings (45/1) at its base closed by a magnetic rail (47/1). The magnetic rails are individually controlled for coupling the emptying openings of the different developer chambers to a suction channel (44), used for removal of the used developer material.
