Vehicular tyre

A vehicular tyre has a carcass, with a bracing ply or belt radially outside the carcass. The belt has a wavy profile around the circumference. The waves are formed in the axial direction, with varying amplitude. The tread lies around the belt. Preferably the wave amplitude of the belt varies continuously in the axial direction, with a minimum in the shoulder region. Amplitude is also minimised just under the circumferential grooves of the tread profile, especially under the widest grooves. Waves may have minimal amplitude at the zenith.
