A connection device for connecting together, for example two or more bone parts, comprises two or more attachment locations for attachment to at least two members to be connected. The connection device is made of shape memory alloy and includes between the attachment locations a section which can be deformed and is recoverable by treatment to a memorised shape. Two members connected to the device are in this manner subjected to forces during recovery which can be useful in assisting the connection thereof.
