<p>A density distribution of an object to be examined is made, for example by means of X-ray computed tomography or by means of a magnetic resonance imaging method. An accurate dimension of the corresponding detail of the object to be examined is derived from density values of a detail of the density distribution and density values outside the relevant detail. Preferably, the reduction of the maximum density value of the relevant detail is compensated on the basis of density values outside the relevant detail.</p> |
