The hinge (20) has a spring (14) which is mounted between a joint and a counter bearing (16). A tension bar (18) engages on the counter bearing for the spring, and has a head (32) which works together with a counter bearing (22) which is fixed to the hinge. The head is arranged so that the tension bar is acted upon by the tension of the spring, from a predetermined opening angle of the hinge. The fixed counter bearing may be formed by a hollow in which the head of the tension bar engages. The latter is preferably in the form of a ball, and the tension bar may move in a guide slot beside the hinge, along one limb of the opening angle.
