Carding fibre feed

The feed system to deliver fibre materials, such as to a carding machine and the like, has a fibre material opening mechanism at the bottom of the first filling shaft (3) with a take-in roller (4) and fibre opening roller (6) which rotate in the same direction. The take-in trough (5) has a sharply-rounded deflection edge (10) with a large radius (R) for the rounded shape of more than 10 mm and pref. 20-65 mm. The ratio between the take-in roller radius and the radius (R) of the deflection edge (10) is 2.5-5.0 and pref. 3-4. The ratio between the opening roller radius and the deflection edge (10) rounded radius (R) is 4-7 and pref. 5-6.
