<p>The invention provides for an admixture for reducing the water content of a concrete mix. The admixture comprises an alkaline solution of a lignin in a sulfomethylolated form. The sulfomethylolated lignin in the admixture can also be cross-linked with a cross-linking agent. The admixture further comprises an air detrainer. Also provided are novel cement compositions comprising the admixture of the invention.</p> |
