The bearing arrangement has a fixed bearing (5) which is located inside a damping sleeve (7). The fixed bearing has its axial position fixed via an adjusting plate (11) relative to the compressor housing to provide a desired clearance. The damping sleeve has a mounting point (9) for a support element (10) which contacts the adjusting plate. The support element and the adjuster plate are spaced via the damping sleeve located in the housing.
