The short square vehicle consists of a base plate (10) above which a platform (20) and seat (30) are mounted. The base plate is supported by two rear wheels and a steered front wheel. The frame of the vehicle consists of four vertical guide rails (13) with crossbars. A cable (25) runs over pulleys (21,22) which are mounted under the platform (20). The platform, which is guided by the rails (13) can be raised or lowered by winding or unwinding the cables with a motor drive. The seat, which is mounted above the platform, is guided by rails (31) which are mounted on the platform. The seat can be raised or lowered by winding-up or unwinding cables (35) which run over rollers (35).
