The refrigeration cabinet for large kitchens has a number of compartments each with the five walls formed from sheet material and joined with angular fillets and a sealant. The walls, except for drain outlet, are continuous without interruptions and the evaporator coils are positioned behind the rear wall of each compartment and a fan and removable air distribution panel at the upper rear of the compartment circulates the chilled air. The cabinet (1) has multiple cooling chambers (2), one or more of which may contain a drawer arrangement (3). To facilitate adequate cleaning each interior wall is of smooth uninterrupted sheet material joining to each adjacent panel with a 135 deg. fillet with silicone sealant, or the like, between outward turned flanges. Refrigeration is achieved by evaporator coils attached to the outside of the rear wall, within insulation material. A fan is positioned against the wall which circulates cool air with the aid of a distribution plate extending across the width of the chamber and forming a narrow slot at its lower edge. The plate may be removed for cleaning purposes. |
