PURPOSE:To bring the melody out by controlling the volume of the automatic accompaniment sounds in accordance with the melody performance and simultaneously to eliminate the sense of incompatibility of the volume variation in the automatic accompaniment sounds. CONSTITUTION:A CPU 53, through a program control, controls the generation of melody sound signals in a musical sound signal forming circuit 40 in response to the operations of a right keyboard 12 and simultaneously controls the generation of accompaniment sound signals in the musical sound signal forming circuit 40 in accordance with the accompaniment sound data stored in an accompaniment data memory 60. Furthermore, the CPU 53 detects the presence and absence of pressed keys by the right keyboard 12 and makes a reduction control of the volume level of the automatic accompaniment sound signal formed in the musical sound signal forming circuit 40 when the presence is detected. When the absence is detected for a pressed key in the right keyboard 12, the CPU 53 releases the reduction control of the previously mentioned volume control, however, the release takes place with a prescribed time delay after the detection of the above mentioned nonpressed key or the release is performed with the same time delay for a phrase unit of automatic accompaniment sound train. |
