A battery assembly comprising a stack (118) of cells (114-116) with a first cell contact (104) at one end of the stack and a second cell contact (122) at the other, opposite end of the stack, a holder sheath (130) for holding the stack of cells together and exposing the cell contacts, and a first conductive member (126) in contact with the second cell contact (122). A first terminal (104) comprising the first cell contact and a second terminal (102), spaced and insulated from the first terminal, are at said one end of the stack (118). An elongate second conductive member (125) connects the first conductive member (126) with the second terminal (102) to enable positive and negative connection to the battery assembly to be provided at said one end of the stack through the first and second terminals (104, 102). <IMAGE> |
