PURPOSE:To provide the clock distributing system for which the construction or maintenance of expansion or removal is facilitated without being affected by electric disturbance by performing the photoelectric transduction of an electric clock signal and optical fiber transmission and it is not necessary to interrupt the clock signal even in the case of clock supplying device revising or the like. CONSTITUTION:A clock supplying device 13 is provided with a reference clock generator 11 for generating the clock signal and an electric/optic converter 12 for converting the clock signal to an optical clock signal. This clock supplying device 13 is connected to an optical fiber transmission line 15. The optical clock signal is transmitted to this optical fiber transmission line 15. The optical clock signal, which is transmitted through the optical fiber transmission line 15, is branched by a beam splitter 16 and respectively distributed to respective clock receivers 191-19n. Thus, not only the system is not affected by external distrubance such as noise or earth potential fluctuation but also it is not necessary to use a lot of expensive electric / optic converters or optical fibers, and the cable space of a station house can be considerably reduced as well. |
