<p>A buoyant aerator 1 for oxygenating polluted water and effluent which can be sunk into its working position by ballasting or caused to float to the surface for recovery, includes a ballast unit 4 adjustably-attached to the aerator by a remotely-operated anchor rope 7. The rope 7 is tensioned to cause the aerator to sink, the rope then being tethered on shore-mounted cleat 9. Releasing the rope allows the aerator to float to the surface for recovery by rope 11.</p> |
