摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the need of a control valve for controlling the flow of auxiliary air to a fuel injection by providing a receiver connected to a fuel injector with a means operated according to the ambient temperature of the fuel injector to control the flow of auxiliary air into the fuel injector. SOLUTION: A shroud 12 as a receiver is connected to a fuel injection valve 16 in order to mix auxiliary air with injection fuel. The shroud 12 has an air inlet 24 for receiving auxiliary air from an air passage 26, and an air passage 32 extending from the air inlet 24 to an air orifice 34 is formed between the shroud 12 and the fuel injection valve 16. A bimetal ring 40 is fitted to the inside of the shroud 12, thereby passing auxiliary air entering the shroud 12 without obstacle while the ambient temperature in the periphery of a fuel injector 10 is low. On the other hand, when the ambient temperature becomes high, the bimetal ring 40 is expanded to close the air inlet 24, so that the supply of auxiliary air is cut off.
