PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a rubber compsn. which gives a snowmobile caterpillar band improved in durability to high-speed running by increasing the rigidity of the band or by increasing the rigidity and decreasing the specific gravity of the band. SOLUTION: This compsn. is prepd. by compounding a polyamide-fiber-contg. compsn. which is obtd. by dispersing short polyamide fibers having an average diameter of 1μm or lower and an average length of 100-2,000μm and a natural rubber and/or an polyisoprene rubber in a continuous polyolefin phase, the fibers, the rubber, and the continuous phase being chemically bonded to each other, with a diene rubber and a carbon black, subject to the conditions that the amt. of the fibers is 2-20wt.% of this compsn. and that the amt. of the polyolefin phase is 0.5-15wt.% of this compsn.
