摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain a method for manufacturing a stainless steel strip for leaf springs whose thickness is extremely thin, whose surface roughness is greatly rough and whose flatness is excellent without inducing sheet break and drawing accident during rolling by greately simple means. SOLUTION: This method is the manufacturing method of the cold rolled stainless steel strip for leaf springs whose thickness is 0.1-0.3mm and whose surface roughness is within the range of 0.8-2μm by center-line mean roughness Ra. After a hot rolled stainless steel strip for springs is cold-rolled and annealed, cold finish rolling is executed using work rolls having stepped shape whose effective barrel length is longer than the width of the cold rolled steel strip of a material to be rolled by 5-70mm and the diameters in the barrel end parts on both sides except the effective barrel length of which are smaller than the diameter of the effective barrel length part by >=2mm.
