PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make improvements in the promotion of efficiency and reliability in copying operations even in the case where a skew has occurred. SOLUTION: An image former 1 is provided with a detecting means 120, conveying a sheet of copying paper to an image bearing part 40 from a paper feeling means, forming an image upon copying it and, after fixing the image copied on this copying paper, turning over it to a conveyor passage again, then forming the image on the back of the copying paper at the image bearing part 40 again, and further optically detecting a skew quantity Q of the copying paper in a gap with the image bearing part 40 from the reconveyor passage D, and a control means 30 judging which judges trouble if the skew quantity Q is more than the specified value, and subsequently alters an image forming condition henceforward, respectively. |
