PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a coating liquid for coloring the tooth or an artificial crown to white or an arbitrary color and having excellent dispersibility and obtain an application tool for the liquid. SOLUTION: This coating liquid for tooth is produced by dispersing a color pigment represented by titanium oxide and pearlescent pigment or an extender pigment represented by tricalcium phosphate singly or in combination in an alcoholic solvent, mainly ethanol using N-methacryloylethyl N,N- dimethylammonium.α-N-methylcarboxybetaine.butyl methacrylate copolymer. Excellent dispersion stability, luster, applicability and fixability can be attained by the use of N-methacryloylethyl N,N-dimethylammonium.α-N- methylcarboxybetaine.butyl methacrylate copolymer singly or in combination with shellac and a vinyl acetate resin.
