<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airbag of a top-mounting type airbag device for a front passenger seat, by which manufacturing labor and cost can be reduced. SOLUTION: An airbag 18 is used for an airbag device (M) for a front passenger seat, in which an opening (O) for projection at the time of expansion (of the bag) is arranged on the top surface of an instrument panel (P) lying under a windshield (W). At the time of expansion, the airbag 18 is projected via the opening (O) toward the back of a car. In order to shorten the quantity of projection toward the back at the time of initial expansion, a tuck position 26 is formed by using a breakable sewing thread 27 at the lower side position of the bag 18 at the time of expansion.</p> |
