PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To substantially prevent a catheter from being hooked by a celom wall or celom branch part at the time of insertion into the celom by forming the catheter in such a manner that the bending rigidity in a specific direction is higher than in other directions on the operator side at the front end of the catheter and that the bending rigidity in the direction different from the specific direction is higher than in the other directions on the front end side. SOLUTION: This catheter is formed with two curved parts at the front end of a cylindrical main body tube 2 internally having an insertion hole 1 of a circular shape. The material constituting the flank in the circular arc apart which is nearly parallel with the curvilinear plane has the high rigidity and the material constituting the flank of the circular arc part nearly parallel thereto has the low rigidity. Consequently, the bending rigidity in the direction parallel with the curvilinear plane is higher than in the perpendicular direction. The rigidity of the material constituting the flank in the circular arc part nearly parallel with the curvilinear plane is low and the rigidity of the material constituting the flank in the circular arc part nearly perpendicular thereto is high on the front end side 14 of the curvilinear parts. Consequently, the bending rigidity in the direction parallel with the curvilinear plane of the tube is lower than in the perpendicular direction. |
