PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the damage to the function of the device and the quality deterioration of recorded images by counting the repeated on-actions of the power source switch and inactivating the image forming device when the count reaches an allowed number. SOLUTION: While a power switch sensor 31 detects the on-off of the power source switch 32, a counter 33 counts plus one and accumulates the value in a memory 35. The pretermined number of times is read out to be compared with the accumulated value to judge whether the count value has reached the pretermined number or not. When the allowed number of times is reached, the action of the device is inhibited. This time, every time the counter 33 counts one, the count is accumulated in the memory 35 and the accumulated value and the allowed number of times is compared. When the allowed number of times is not reached, the previous processing is restored. Next, whether the power switch 32 is made off or not is judged and, if the power switch has been made off, this processing is finished. |
