PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a bird's-eye view display showing how roads are situated one over the other such as an overhead road and a crossing with an overpass or underpass. SOLUTION: This device is equipped with a storage means 5 which stores plane figure road map data that represent a road with nodes including intersections and inflection points and links approximating the parts between nodes to straight lines and include height information on the nodes, a data array means 1 which reads the plane figure road map data out of the storage means 5 and stores the data in a data table in order from a link short in node height, a converting means 1 which converts the data in the data table into bird's-eye view road map data in order from the head link data in the data table, and a drawing means 1 which reads the said converted bird's-eye road map data out in order from the head of the table and draws a map on a display means 7. |
