PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To select an optimum chord expanding method for each roll of a part at the time of user's automatic accompaniment generation. SOLUTION: This device has an accompaniment data storage means 2 which stores automatic accompaniment data generated by a pattern generating means 1 and preset automatic accompaniment data, a chord information storage means 3, a chord expanding means 4 which reads accompaniment data and chord information out and expands chords by parts, a sound generation data generating means 5 which generates sound generation data by the parts according to the expansion data, and a sound generating means 6 which generates sounds by the parts according to the sound generation data; and the pattern generating means 1 is provided with a selecting means 7 which selects chord expanding methods by the parts and outputs selected values and also provided with a selected value storage means 8 which stores the selected values and an expansion table storage means 9 which stores plural chord expansion tables; and the chord expanding means 4 expands chords by the parts while referring to expansion table values in the expansion table storage means 9 according to the chord expanding methods specified with the selected values in the selected value storage means 8. |
