PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for separating and regenerating ion exchange resins by which an aggregated state of resins can be broken by a simple operation using a low-cost material, the precision of separation of anion and cation exchange resins is improved, the efficiency of regeneration is enhanced, the amt. of a regenerating agent used is reduced and satisfactory treated water can be obtd. SOLUTION: When ion exchange resins forming a mixed bed are separated and regenerated, CO2 -contg. gas is brought into contact with the ion exchange resins in a mixed state and cation and anion exchange resin layers are separated by back washing. Each of the resin layers is regenerated by contact with a regenerating agent. |
