A roller bearing seal has a radially outer portion 2 formed with an annular bead 10 and inserted with resilient deformation into a rectangular cross-section groove 5 in an outer race 6. The seal has a radially inner lip (not shown) engaging the inner race. In Fig. 5 a projection 11 abuts against wall 5c of the groove. In Fig. 6 (not shown) a sleeve (12) extends from projection (11) and engages surface (5b) of the outer race. The seal is of synthetic resin, or rubber, with or without reinforcing fibres.</p> |
