PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smooth the hysteresis characteristic by providing an elastic member to transmit the rotational torque according to the angle of twist and a mechanism in which a friction plate is pressed against a flange part to give the engagement bearing pressure to a friction mechanism, and the engagement bearing pressure is changed according to the angle of twist. SOLUTION: When the angle of twist of a flange part 101A of a clutch plate 102, a retaining plate 103, and a spline hub 101 is not greater thanθ1 , a bearing pressure providing plate 104 is turned to the angle through a stud pin 120, the compressive force of a spring 112 is small, and the friction force between the friction plate 109 and the flange part 101A is small. Thus, the hysteresis characteristic becomes small. When the angle of twist is not less thanθ2 , the friction force is increased, and the hysteresis characteristic becomes large. When the angle of twist is betweenθ1 andθ2 , the compressive force is in the intermediate condition, and the friction force is of quantity corresponding to the intermediate angle of twist, and the hysteresis characteristic is the value corresponding thereto. The hysteresis characteristic can be smoothly switched.
