PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor device which is provided with a pull-up or pull-down resistor between terminals and a power supply potential and can suppress the occurrence of latch up even when an over-voltage is applied across terminals without increasing the chip size of the device. SOLUTION: A pull-up or pull-down resistor is constituted of two resistors 103 and 109 connected in series and the resistor 109 which is connected to a terminal is formed of a resistor which does not form a P-N junction with a semiconductor substrate. The other resistor 103 is formed of a diffusion layer of such a conductivity that forms a P-N junction with the semiconductor substrate. |
