摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a heat transfer ribbon which is excellent in both of a sublimate transfer property and a heat fusion transfer property by a method wherein a layer structure of a sublimate transfer layer part and a layer structure of a heat fusion transfer part are made specific. SOLUTION: For a structure of a sublimate transfer layer part of a heat transfer ribbon 7, an easily boundary treated layer 2 and a sublimate transfer layer 3 are provided from a heat resisting base material 1, and a back coat layer 6 is provided to its opposite side. Further, for a structure of a heat fusion transfer layer part, the easily bondably treated layer 2, a releasing layer 4, and a heat fusion transfer layer 5 are provided from the heat resisting base material 1, and the back coat layer 6 is provided to an opposite side of the heat resisting base material 1. The easily bondably treated layer 2 and the back coat layer 6 are of the same kind in the sublimate transfer layer 3 part and the heat fusion transfer layer 5 part, and of a continuous layer. Thereby, in forming an image on a surface of polyvinyl chloride of PVC card or the like, by providing the releasing layer 4 between the easily bondably treated layer 2 and the heat fusion transfer layer 5, a gradation image and the heat transfer ribbon suitable for formating of the gradation image and a binary image can be obtained.
