PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for a printing press for automatically confirming which of paper webs runs through either of compensation machines. SOLUTION: First and second marking devices 138, 140 apply reference marks 142, 144 confirming respective paper webs 108, 120 to the paper webs 108, 120. Sensors 154, 156 for sensing the reference marks 142, 144 positioned on the paper webs 108, 120 running through compensation machines 146, 148 are sets to the compensation machines 146, 148 in order to automatically confirming which of the paper webs runs through either of the compensation machines. A computer circuit uses this data to control the route length of the paper webs 108, 120 thorough the compensation machines 146, 148. |
