PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a fishing line little in wearing out at a terminal end, scarcely visible in water and expectable of improved fishing by compounding a specific gel spun polyolefin filament. SOLUTION: A fishing line is produced by compounding a gel-spun polyolefin filament obtained by heating a fishing line made of a filament yarn of polyolefin such as a gel-spun polyethylene, and knitted, twisted or twisted-and-doubly twisted, for a time sufficient to fuse at least a part of adjacent filaments at a temperature in a range of the melting points of the polylefin. Further, it is preferable that the fishing line is further drawn at an elongation ratio in the range of 1.01-2.20. |
