PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To deal with drift of supply voltage, turn on a fluorescent lamp quickly and economically, and keep lighting by installing a rectifier filter system, a voltage divider, and an electronic gate, etc. SOLUTION: A block 90 as a rectifier filter system supplies DC. voltage to a ballast circuit 110 and a block 3a as a voltage divider provides feedback signals from the supplied voltage to an electronic gate 37a. Attributed to the feedback, even if the supplied voltage is fluctuated, the electric power consumption is kept constant by the circuit 110. Also, additional to the feedback from the apparatus 3a, the gate 37a receives feedback signals from the impedance and the load current of the lamp through a line 152 and deals properly with the alteration of the impedance of the lamp. An oscillator 4a lights a lamp at the time when the ballast is driven and after the apparatus 4a is stopped, the gate 37a maintains the lighting. Consequently, the efficiency of the lamp can be improved without a transformer. |
