PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a color image of high quality by the use of a small-sized and simple structure. SOLUTION: As for the color image forming device provided with an image carrier 1, a means for forming the electrostatic latent image on the surface of the carrier 1, plural selectively operated developing units 2 arranged around the image carrier 1 so as to develop the electrostatic latent image, a transfer means for transferring each color toner image on to a transfer member and a fixing unit for fixing the toner image, at least, one of the developing units 2 is provided with a developer tank 9 for storing magnetic developer 14 constituted of toner and magnetic carrier and a developing roll 3 for holding the magnetic developer 14 and equipped with a cylindrical permanent magnet member 3a having plural magnetic poles on the surface at intervals of 0.5 to 10mm and also whose outside diameter is 10 to 30mm. |
