PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve description capability by simplifying the description of a simulation model by detecting and canceling dead lock by operating a time- over processing means when the dead lock is detected by a detecting means. SOLUTION: This simulator adds a function for designating all time-over values for securing resources to a conventional input/output interface part 1. When the mutual dead lock between simulation elements is detected by time over in the simulation model under executing at a simulation executing part 4 and the resources can not be secured within designated time, the state of waiting for resources is canceled and the simulation element of trying to secure the resources is extinguished. Since the resources already secured by the simulation element are released and the processing of the following simulation element is advanced at the same time, dead lock can be canceled. |
