PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a grease composition having excellent flaking resistance and capable of prolonging the life of a synchronous speed joint by compounding a base oil with a thickener, boron nitride powder and a specific extreme pressure agent at specific ratios. SOLUTION: This grease composition is produced by compounding (A) a base oil with (B) 2-25wt.% (based on the total composition) of a thickener such as a compound of the formula, A-CONH-R<1> -NHCO-B [R1 is a bivalent hydrocarbon group; A and B are each NHR<2> (R<2> is a 6-20C hydrocarbon residue), NR<3> R<4> (R<3> and R<4> are each R<2> ) or OR<5> (R<5> is R<2> )], (C) 0.5-20wt.% of boron nitride powder (e.g. having an average particle diameter of 0.05-20μm), (D) 0.1-10wt.% of a sulfur-phosphorus-based extreme pressure agent (e.g. a combination of a sulfurized oil and fat with a phosphate) and, as necessary, (E) molybdenum dithiocarbamate as an extreme pressure agent. |
