BIO-COMPATIBLE MATERIAL AND APPLIANCE FOR MEDICAL TREATMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bio-compatible polymer material which has bio- compatibility excellent for practicable use and more particularly blood- compatibility (anticoagulant property) without subjecting the material to a chemical surface treatment and is usable for various kinds of appliances for medical treatment and an appliance for medical treatment having the bio- compatibility. SOLUTION: This bio-compatible material includes at least one kind of polymers having the repeating unit derived from a combination of at least one kind of monomers or >=2 kinds of monomers selected from a group consisting of olefin monomers having 2 to 10C and diene monomer groups having 4 to 15C and has the surface regions of microphase separated structures consisting of crystalline regions and amorphous regions. This appliance for medical treatment is formed of the bio-compatible material described above in part or the whole of the parts in contact with the blood.
