PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject rat poison extremely excellent in retention, having drug action for a long period of time, by adding a Guinea pepper oil to a specific gelatinous resin as a core part and coating the core part with another resin. SOLUTION: This rat poison has a core-shell structure comprising a gelatinous resin 1 containing a Guinea pepper oil as a core part and a polyurea resin 2 as a shell part. The Guinea pepper oil is a purified oil of a plant excellent in rat repellency. A microcapsule containing the Guinea pepper oil is obtained by dissolving a polyfunctional isocyanate, a water-insoluble polyol and a catalyst in the Guinea pepper oil contained in the core part to give an oil phase, emulsifying and dispersing the oil phase into water (water phase) containing an emulsifying agent and carrying out the reaction at the interface of oil drops or in the oil drops. The microcapsule type rat poison is dispersed into an aqueous medium and can be used as a dispersion. In the use, the content of the microcapsule is preferably set within the range of 2-70%. The particle diameter of the capsule is about 0.5-500μm.
