The cosmetic composition containing extracts of roots and rhizocouls selected from Veratrum nigrum Linne var. ussuriense Loes. fil., Veratrum versicolor Nakai, Veratrum maackii vor. japonicum. T. Shimmizu and Veratrum glandiflourm Loesner fil. was prepared. Thus, 20.0 wt.% of lauryl sodium sulfate(30%), 20.0 % of polyoxyethylene lauryl sodium sulfate(30%), 3.0 wt.% of palm oil aliphatic diethanol amide and 2.0 wt.% of propylene glycol were dissolved at 60 deg. C in water, and cooled to 40 deg. C. The 5.0 wt.% of extracts, 0.0001 wt.% of a blue colorant, 0.2 wt.% of paraoxymethyl benzoic acid, 0.4 wt.% of a perfume and 0.01 wt.% of phosphoric acid were added in the obtained mixed solution to give a shampoo useful as dander inhibitor.
