When matching an external device with the exchange device, the malfunction removing method prevents the exchange device's malfunction generated by noises owing to the uneasy transmission line state. The malfunction removing method of electronic exchange device includes the steps of: detecting that an external input data is within ASCII code range; setting a noise counter as '1' if it is out of the ASCII code range, storing a received data to a buffer(10), and storing a retransmitted data to a buffer(2); processing the data stored in the buffer(2) as 2's complement, adding the processed data to the data stored in the buffer(1), and checking a carrier generation; storing the data of the buffer(1) and receiving the next data in case of a carrier generation, and comparing a noise count value with a maximum noise error check counter value in case of no carrier; if the noise counter value is larger than the maximum noise error check counter value, removing the stored data, and transmitting a transmission error message to an external unit, if the noise counter value is lower than the maximum noise error check counter, storing the stored data of the buffer(2) into the buffer(1), and repeating it until the carrier generates.
