The device comprises a support element (2) which is designed to be wrapped around the peripheral surface (3) of a cathode ray screen. The support element surrounds the peripheral surface completely and enables the connection of a number of objects (4) to this surface. The support element has a specific profile which facilitates the connection of the objects to the outside of the surface. This may include a flat base and an upstanding central rib onto which objects can be fastened by clips. The support can be made of a flexible rubber material to allow it to be fitted to the contour of the outside of the screen.
