In a compact disk player having a disk changer to play a plurality of disks, the disk scan method reproduces an important part of a present-selected disk during a predetermined time when manipulating a disk scan key, normally reproduces a present disk if the disk scan key is turned off, and selects a next disk if the predetermined time elapses.
