The support, designed to withstand a given static effort between two rigid components such as a motor vehicle engine and chassis, consists of two rigid members (1, 2) which are fixed to the rigid components, with the second member (2) lying parallel to a plane perpendicular to the main axis of the vibration. The two rigid members are connected by an elastomer body (3) which has a relatively broad base (4) fixed to the second member (2) and converges from the base up to its top (7), which is connected to the first rigid member (1). Between the elastomer body and the second rigid member the support has a fluid-filled working chamber (A) which is connected via a throttled channel (C) to a compensating chamber (B) bounded at least partially by a supple wall (8). The elastomer body also has an aperture (10) between the first rigid member (1) and the working chamber (A) and passing through the body along a line perpendicular to the main axis of vibration. The aperture (10) covers virtually the whole of the working chamber.
