Special measures are required to mount a component subjected to the pressure of a fluid, if the component is made of wear-resistant, hard and therefore generally brittle material, which can be destroyed by locally high stresses. Such a component, made for example of silicon/glass, is arranged in an elastomer moulding, made for example of silicone-rubber, whose contour fits the outer contour of the component and the inner contour of a mounting element. Because of this "floating mounting", no unacceptable local stress peaks are possible and the component is not subject to deformation. This device is particularly suitable for mounting a miniaturised component made of glass or silicon which will be exposed to high pressures.
