摘要 The method operates with combustion chamber pressure sensors which are computer controlled consecutively at a representative number of operating points with respect to the rotation rate and the load. For each operating point and each cylinder of the engine, a signal representative of the knocking engine is taken from signals of the respective combustion chamber pressure sensor. The firing angle is adjusted under computer control so that the engine is operated at the knocking limit. The adjusted angle is stored in a memory associated with the engine. The device for carrying out the method has the engine (1) connected to an engine control device (6). The signals from the pressure sensors (4), a crank shaft signal, and a cam shaft signal are fed to a knocking detector device (5). A control input for the engine control device providing the firing angle, and the output of the knocking detector are connected to the computer (10,11).
